📋 NEC PC Engine Hardware FAQ
Q: What power supply does a PC Engine need in Europe?
A: For original White PC Engine and CoreGrafx, use a 9V DC center-negative power supply (such as a Genesis Model 1 adapter). Do NOT use a SNES power brick. Duo models require 9V-12V DC center-positive depending on model.
Q: Can a Japanese PC Engine play American TurboGrafx-16 games?
A: HuCards have inverted pinouts between Japan and the US. Playing US TurboGrafx games on a Japanese PC Engine requires a pin-converter adapter.
