The N700S Series Shinkansen (“S” for Supreme) is the latest high-speed train operated by JR Central and JR West on the Tōkaidō and Sanyō Shinkansen lines, introduced in 2020.

Interiors feature larger windows, improved seats, and better luggage space, with enhanced earthquake and tilt-response systems.
